Scales can differ a lot. It also depends on what surface it stands - hard floor or carpet, surface not completely level, etc. I can gain or lose a few kg just by moving the scale. It’s frustrating.

Scales can also be affected by heat, humidity and cold, which means - ironically - bathroom scales shouldn't be kept in bathrooms 🙈 Make sure you place it on a hard, level surface in an area that keeps a pretty consistent temperature. I use mine in the passage and then just stash it behind the bedroom door when I'm done.

weigh a full bag of sugar on the scale or an unopened bag of dog food (I use that) check if the scale is working correctly. Take the bag off, let the scale go to 000, then put the bag on again. If it shows the same weight both times, u can trust it's digits. If it changes - could be low battery, dated scale, uneven surface, carpet or too cold room temperature. For every g of glycogen your body stores it retaines between 2 to 5g of water (How many grams of carbs did you have yesterday ?) Not all that weight is fat. Chin up ! 🤩🤗🌟
