davidsprincess's Journal, 01 Mar 23

Thankful for a new month. Wasted all of February. 5 pounds away from my FEBRUARY 1 goal and now it is March. Made it to the gym only 14 times. Overate MANY days. These are the kinda posts that I used to read and roll my eyes at. Now here I am. Just being transparent. I do not want to live my life over 200 pounds- but I don't seem to remember that at the time I want to eat. How much is jaw wiring? Happy March! Almost spring. Almost yard work and planting flowers.
101.7 kg Lost so far: 11.2 kg.    Still to go: 11.1 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

I think going to the gym 14 times in a month sounds great! But then, I don't go to the gym at all. You've got a busy life with busy kids so it can't be easy. Living alone I find it easy to be very good or very bad. When I am eating really bad (I'm either very goid or very bad, never in between) there's no one to ask "where's that huge bag of potato chips". Or ice cream, bag of caramels, etc. But when I'm good I don't have to watch the rest of the family eat things I can't have so I can have a pantry and fridge full of foods I won't overeat. You've done it before and you still go to the gym so at least you haven't given up. I KNOW you'll figure it ot.

I remember when you told me if you hit 200 pounds again you’d leave fs. I’m glad you stayed but girl, I want you to be happy. And comfortable. I could visit, punch you in the face and maybe wiring would be free?? 🤣🤣🤣 Love ya DP. Prayers you’ll be able to do what you know works. xo

I was trying to explain to my husband (who has never had any issues with his weight but watched his mom…and me…struggling) how it’s such a deeply layered emotional and mental thing. Simple on the surface but so complicated on the heart motivations side. I have put back on 15 of the 70 pounds I lost. He rightly observed that I am rigidly disciplined in some areas, but not in that area. So…I’m with you - looking for all the pieces that need to click into place for movement to happen, but not giving up. You are an encouragement to me.

It's hard to not let everyday issues get in your way while trying to further your fitness journey. You have a job, kids and their activities, and all the other stuff that comes with family, and daily life. Trying to plan, prep, log, exercise etc well It's a lot to manage. That being said, you have done it before and I believe you can do it again. You have the knowledge and I know the desire is there. Its totally understandable that everyday won't be successful but take one day at a time and don't give up! I know it's easy for me to spew out advice, heck I'm retired and truthfully my fitness journey is my full-time job now..I have the time and resources but I falter too. Just know you always have my support and I believe!💜💜💪💪

I will start March over with you! My february between being on vacation and then sick again I did not accomplish anything. March I want to get 100% of my workouts in and progressively lift heavier and follow my healthy eating habits.

You've done it before you can do it again. Sometimes I think we overeat because we are pushed too hard in other places. I know if I'm over worked and not having enough fun in general I look for the junk food. Maybe there is an adjustment you need to make somewhere else? Just food for thought. Hang in there, you've got this.

Been doing this myself since the Thanksgiving & Christmas holidays. But am working out steadily throughout January & February to overcome the overeating & recovery from knee injury. Generally worked out 6 out of 7 days each week since 1/1.

New month, new start! Any small things you can write down and stick to, such as: not eating after 8pm, drink a glass of water before eating anything, exercise during commercials? Just thinking of things that have worked for me in the past.
