think it as maintaining your current weight instead of hitting a plateau. it may be time to recalculate your calories and reevaluate your goal based on your current weight. Also look at your nutrients you have logged in your journal. you may have to adjust numbers to better match your personal health goals. For example, I have significantly lowered my daily allowance for sugar and sodium.

Thankyou tracykerr325 for your support. Im currently at 1200 calorie and i cant go any further, but i know i probably eat more the FS calories counter isnt always right and the labels on the food arnt either they have a guideline they must adhere to. I dont drink soda or coffe no added sugar. I dont eat junk food.

If you hit a plateau try adding one small exercise thing a week, baby steps, the turtle did beat the hare! And is probably healthier too!

I have found that if I zigzag my calories a bit, my weight will start moving down again. For instance, try eating 1300 cal/day on 1 or 2 days a week. Also, increasing movement (ANY movement, not just 'exercise') will help but adding even a little weight training/resistance bands will make you feel better👍💯

Sometimes the reason we plateau is because our bodies have gotten used to what we are eating and doing. It seems counterproductive to increase calories, but it will "startle" your body out of the usual routine, and it will help in loss. Also, too, change up the type of exercise you are doing. If you are always using the treadmill, try the elliptical. Even though you're working out, those muscles have gotten better at it than when you started, and it time to use other ones. Using a different machine, or doing a new routine, makes muscles that aren't getting used a lot, work harder. In turn, they will burn more calories than the muscles that have become more toned.

Ever since we were involved in an accident on 02/13/22, our diets have gone haywire more than usual. YOu can tell by looking at my diet calendar. It's way-off and gone whacko!!! Or, maybe it's just me?! Anyways, I plan to get more calorie-burning sessions and eat healthier than I have been...w/God's help...Amen

I think everyone hits a plateau sometimes, but you’re doing all the right stuff: hopefully what’s happening is you’re building muscle mass! @CrystalJo, I just got out my resistance bands and I don’t have a clue what to do with them: any recommendations?

Each day find a victory. Doesn't have to be on the scale, but remind yourself each day how precious you are. I've been at it 7 1/2 years. There have been ups and downs and unfortunately not all were on the scale. Like you I'm not gonna quit, just have to hold myself accountable and struggle forward.
