The weight is coming down in minuscule increments but down is down. I just looked properly at my diary entries now, and realised I gained 4 kg between December 2020 and December 2021. I hadn’t looked at this app in years, mainly because I was happy with my weight sitting at 54/53 and I had no interest in monitoring my weight and calories. Then one decision changed my lifestyle completely. Overloaded and overwhelmed with work, I got no exercise and minimal sleep and ate whatever was convenient - coffee and rusks, pasta and ready-made sauce - and felt myself growing more tired, out of shape, overweight and depressed as the year wore on. So, noticing now that my muffin top was because of a whole extra 4 kg is shocking and unsurprising at the same time. Being back to being active each day and 2 kg lighter as a result has me feeling so much more alive. Tiny increments. But down is down.
