Had to work an overnight shift last night. Always makes weigh ins weird but this gain is all from overeating yesterday. Had to work though I thought I was feeling sick and now I am more sick so just hanging out. Taking ibuprofen and resting. I am not going to waste a covid test. I am vaccinated. I probably do have it. Everyone around seems to have it. I had to take someone to the walk in clinic and it was swarming with infestation. Gross. I wore my N95 and tried to stay away from people but that was Tuesday and today is not fun. I hate wasting a day off work by being sick. Its my day to get things done. My only day to spend time with my hubby who has worked 72 hours this past week and finally has a night off. Bought a few nice steaks for a nice dinner- maybe a movie or catch up on Cobra Kai- a romp in the hay- All ruined. Thankful it isn't worse- I know it can be so I should stop complaining.

So sorry you're ill, hope it's mild. I was not very sick and was over it in four days. My grandson has not had the booster and has been sicker than I was, more like a very bad cold, sick for over a week now. I certainly don't need to tell you how to take care of yourself. (((HUGS))) 💖

Thanks. Waking up now and feeling pretty good. Haven't gotten out of bed yet. Will have coffee and see if I can't get some stuff done. Skipping church today. Nyquil is the most amazing medicine for me. It knocks me out and makes things a bit foggy but worth it to feel almost normal. It's my fave and was I pleased to find two unexpected doses. Happy Sunday! Thanks for the well wishes!

Thomas Fuller seems like one of those people who just drains your soul being near him. I know a few! I tried to date one once. It was the complete opposite of my husband and so, let's just say, it didn't work out. At all.

Petra... I have to comment further and say that's a pretty awesome thing you did. I'm not a big planner. I mean, as the mom you kinda have to be if you ever want to vacation anywhere but that seems far more elaborate. I hope he loved it!

Can you smell and taste anything? Maybe you have the flu or a cold. I personally, would want to know. But then I've been obsessed with Covid, watching the news all the time and checking the county statistics. I'm glad to hear the new cases seem to be much milder. Hope you can take a couple days off to rest, regardless of what you have.

Glad you are feeling better. Nyquil is the best.

Loss of smell and taste is not a prevelent symptom with Omicron, more what seems to be typical cold symptoms. The newest element in the mix is call Fluona— they are seeing people who are infected with both the seasonal flu and Covid simultaneously. We will see a combination of symptoms from both making things more difficult to diagnose by us lay people. Again, we will see Fluona mostly in people who have not had the flu vaccine . An acquaintance went to a BD party where everyone was vaccinated— 40-50 people and they all got Covid. No one died, all are recovering after just a day or so of sniffles but all tested positive. Very, very contagious
