I would suggest not lowering it too much so that if/when you hit a plateau you can lower further if needed or as you lose weight. Perhaps 2000 calories a day would be good and then you can see from there. If there's no scale movement after a week you can lower by another 100 or 200 calories a day. I find if I lower too much it feels really restrictive and it's no fun going hungry if you really don't need to. You can still see results while in a reasonable deficit. All the best!

Yes i agree. And if your body thinks there is no food it will mess up your metabolism. Have you tried cutting out dairy? Many women don't agree with dairy especially because there is so much estrogen. I've replaced dairy with oat milk and felt a massive difference.

Thank you for the awesome advice ladies. I started my journey on 2000 calories last year. I’ve been on 1900 for the last several months. I’ve lost about 25kg since last October but I haven’t been losing much since March this year. Ive just been hovering between 88kg and 90kg. I definitely look different because I’ve been doing lots of weight training, more leaner and clothes are much looser. I just really want to go down to my goal weight. I was thinking of lowering to 1700... I’m going to be eating high protein so hopefully I won’t be hungry. I just really want the number on the scale to go down.

I’ve also recently introduced dairy back to my diet... from April. This really may be the reason why I haven’t been losing. I just really missed cheese and tea with milk.
