Thanks. But this was definitely one of my fluke days. I weigh same time everyday but my weight bounces around lot. Still on the whole I'm moving down. I thought in getting one of those fancy scales it would show this is water weight or muscle building but nope. All the numbers bounce around. Water remains the most consistent.

if you are weighing in everyday, your weight will fluctuate on the scale, what you should do is take the weight of all 7 days, add them up and divide by 7 in order to get your average weight for the week, then work off this average as a guage for progress

Yes, that would be a more accurate view overtime but I like the big drops because it makes me feel better about the big rises. I did start writing them all down on a piece of paper and doing the math but after a few weeks I just got busy. psychologically I like to be able to scroll through all the numbers on the app and see how I shouldn't put too much emphasis on a daily reading. I know lots of people only weigh once a week or only log losses but I've started to recognise patterns so I try track everyday.

Those patterns are key to figuring out how how body responds to different scenarios, it takes a lot of time and effort but worth it in the long run. Always remember to enjoy the process and not to fret toooo much about the details 😉
