Today I had my first weigh in. I was very hesitant and reluctant to do it, afraid that the scale hasn't moved at all, that what I was doing was not working, that my efforts and sacrifice will be in vain, terrified that the weigh in would be followed by my usual 2 day mourning period and uncontrollable sobbing and heartache that resembles someone grieving the passing of a loved one, but I convinced myself that I have to do it and treat it as data, how else am I going to know whether I'm on the right track. I accepted my husband 's kind request to check the scale for me and after a little deliberatation and encouragement from him, turns out I've lost some weight. It isn't where I'd like to be, but it's also not where I was dreading to be. I might not be in ketosis or know what I'm doing, but I'm so grateful for moving in the right direction at least.

I am determined to be as joyous about the small wins and I am devestated by the most miniscule losses (in this case gains).

Here's to the beginning of a new attitude towards my weight loss and sticking to a diet plan for more than a month.
67.5 kg Lost so far: 3.5 kg.    Still to go: 7.5 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

I’ve tried to change my attitude to food via this app and treat this as a means of changing my eating habits rather than ´dieting’. A lifetime of ´dieting’ have instilled a belief of deprivation in me. I’m changing that to basically eating most things but the healthier options and definitely smaller portions. Although the loss is slower it is consistent and I don’t feel like I’m deprived at all. Nor am I hungry. I really don’t want to put the lost kgs back on again as I have in the past! So this has to become a way of life. Good luck in your journey.

My intention with keto was to change my attitude and it had been easier than I expected, but I also can't help feeling frustrated and overwhelmed by all the rules and technicalities, but hopefully consistency should irony that out. Wish me luck.

I also found all that a total pain. But the results of it are amazing. One you find the sweet spot it's really good. My journey has been all trial & error. After w while it will be like second nature to you. Even though I occasionally eat more cals than needed in a day my weeks balance out and I have no desire to eat not keto food
