I am not too worried about the gain as I am pushing 4 days a week at the gym.
I have also started counting my macros so that I stay within my calories for the day even if I have a treat. Really seeing some nice tone and trying to break the psychological impact that the scale can cause. From what I have researched, the microbiome will take about a month to get used to a slightly higher carb diet.

I have been reading extensively about carb cycling and glycogen for energy. Being an avid Keto/Banting person for 5 years, its been difficult to switch to eating complex carbs, my body has thanked me for the energy on weight training workouts though.

I would really like to get brave enough to post a before and after pic by November :)

Hey we r in a similar boat. Been keto around 3 years. I time my carbs for work outs. Between cardio and weights I learnt my body does way better performance wise with increased carbs. Like half a banana, sometimes a whole one for example. I go up to 70g on some days but my body still maintains ketosis somehow while I burn it off. I swapped out for a digital scale that tracks body composition. Far kinder than a regular scale. My 58 kg butt was on 35% bf, 5% vf. Starting to convert whilst trying to maintain or go up. Don't wanna drop weight

So yes I agree, my body is also doing well on some carbs on high workout days and I aim drop to around 70g of carbs on non workout days. I think I am going to stick to trying to expend those calories and not go too much over my calorie limit for the day. Its a tough balance, as I dont want to eat too little and make it impossible to create a lifestyle because I am hungry all the time. The gym I go to has a scale for body composition and a dedicated person to check body composition, I am now around 25-27%, hoping that just measuring tape and some pics will also do the trick to see if I am going in the right direction :)

It's Huawei. It was on special on their website for 350 when I bought it in august. It connects to my phone to show me stats. I'm sure Samsung and the like have their own version of it too🤗 happy hunting

If you’re training, the scale may go up because you’re building muscle which is awesome! You will lose centimeters as well. Keep going!!
