1300 is borderline starving yourself

well done and for the record 1300 calories is not starving yourself if you know how to use it , keep doing what works for you 🤗

It is actually . All the nutritionists and experts say that 1700 calories is the lowest you should go and you only decrease it by 200 calories 3-6 months down the line .

Your body needs +- 1800 per day , you need a deficit of 7000 calories to result in 1kg weight loss per week , so if your only have a deficit of 700 calories per week it will take 10 weeks to lose 1 kilogram , Google low calorie diets none are more than 1500 calories, do the research 👍

Your caloric requirement is dependent on your height as well. Im very short so 1200 works well for me to lose weight

@Mishy96.. Hi, qualified dietetian here... you should definitely not trust google or unqualified nutritionists as to what calories to follow... every person is different in terms of their caloric requirements so 1300kcal is definitely not starving... I wouldn't recommend going below a 1000 but 1300 should be fine for a short person to try and loose weight... Im quite tall and I only require 1500 for my ideal weight, activity level and age... please dont criticize others diets if you dont have a qualification yourself to back up your statements

Please don’t be so toxic on here☹️ If you had done the research you’d know it was dependant on the person

The 1300 calories a day is enough. I eat low calorie foods with my snacks. I'm definitely not starving. I'm just making better choices and I feel that my body is getting healthier

@Mishy0715, swearing at others says more about your shortcomings than others. Don't stoop to that level. You should aim to be better.

@Chris10 - i also find that it is all about quality of food - for example, having 250 grams of salmon is like 350 calories versus eating pasta or rice which is way more - all about quality

yes exactly. you can gave a good fulfilling meals with a lot of low calorie foods

@Vibeshco, i would trust the calculation that FS gives you to start off with:) they do calculate it on your age activity and height so its pretty accurate. Obviously this is a generalized equation and is not specific to your exact circumstances. If you want exact measurements and more personalized help I would recommend booking a consult with a dietitian. Most medical aids cover the fee :) If you stick to the 1800 and dont loose weight for 2 weeks maybe reduce it by 200kcal and see how that goes
