I'm not happy. I'm tired. I'm angry. I'm sick of trying so hard and getting nowhere. I feel like just eating whatever I want. I feel like it doesnt matter anyway, no matter what I do I keep gaining. I'm so frustrated right now.

Be patient! Have you tried something new lately? Maybe you should take a diet break(eat at maintenance for one, two weeks)

Sit back, take a breath and just take a close look at your eating plan and your activity level.. if you are on target, just keep going. Why go backward. That would not make your situation better.

Yes, eating at maintenance for a while sounds great....eating whatever will just set you back

Girl I felt the exact same way... I dieted and dieted... I wouldn't see results in a few days which is what I was used to in the past so I would just GIVE UP! I regret it. I have now been on keto for only about a week and a half or 2 wks and I have dropped a considerable amount of weight for that short period of time but the thing that I was NOT doing was simply logging EVERY single thing I ate. If you log every morsel that you put in your mouth and make sure that you are staying under calories for the day, it will happen. Sometimes losing slow is a good thing too. Its much more maintainable. You can do it girl. We all have faith in you and we got your back. I know the pain of feeling like a failure but YOU ARE NOT A FAILURE!! You got this girl!! Believe in yourself. Also, based on your line under your pic, looks like you have done pretty well so far. Maybe just need to lower your calories again b/c you have lost down enough that your caloric intake needs to decrease a bit. You'll figure it out! DON'T give up!! You will thank yourself later!

it's hard but hang in there. the number on the scale is just a number. my doctor said weight loss is all about what you eat. so that's what you need to look at. I am a stress and emotional eater too, and that makes it extra hard. if you are doing a particular diet, as opposed to just eating healthy and watching calories, then maybe that diet doesn't work for your metabolism and you should try something else. just a thought.

I am there with you BUT...you can't give up! I have been stuck in the 190's for months now..No matter what I try I can lose a few lbs and gain em right back a few days later..I will NEVER give up trying! I had both knees replaced 7 months ago..Let me tell you it was very very painful and I had to practically learn to walk again but I never gave up! I had days that I stopped trying ..I called them my "Pity myself" days..I gave myself 2 days then I pulled up my boot straps & tried again..same with my trying to lose weight..We can do this one OZ at a time..don't give up!!!

I know how you feel! I have been there! What worked for me was analyzing my numbers. I look at what works for me and what doesn't. After 6 years of losing only 2lbs a year I thought nothing would work for me. I simply had to stop trying to diet in ways that I simply could not do. I simply stopped allowing people to tell me that there is something *wrong* with me. I simply had to keep 'experimenting' and going my -own- way. Good luck!

I’ve been there so many times...hugs to you! This is a long road to travel. But the great thing is there’s no deadline. Take a break, have a cheat day, switch things up if you need to, but just never give up on yourself. You are worth it!! ❤️

I have the same problem. I'd get on the scale only to see it go up. Then my Dr told me to get off the scale and pull out the measuring tape. After about a month I started noticing a change....in inches not pounds. This time last year I weighed in at a whoopping 245 pounds. I'm only 5 foot 2 so all that weight is way over. But using the tape I've seen my hips (that's my big trouble area) have gone down almost 6 inches. The scale I get on once a week is finally showing a down word trend. Its taking a year but its coming down. I realized sense being here I have been sabotaging myself.

I am not sure what type of workouts you do but some build muscle which on the scale could result in weight gain. I suggest measuring to see if you are slimming down even though the scale is not showing the results you want. Sometimes we have to focus on the appearance we want more than a certain number.

I found that if i cut my calories too much (which didnt seem that low to me) then i couldnt lose an ounce 😕 so i bumped my calories back up a smidge and within the week dropped a couple pounds again. I dont know what your daily intake is but maybe you have to adjust it up or down a little. You've come a long way, maybe your body has upped it's standards, lol, and now you just have to figure out what the new standards are. 😏 good luck 😉

yep, me too.. I have to tell myself , not going to let my mind tell me I'm a failure, I will be strong and healthy. Toughin up , keep on going forward on the right path..Not going backwards! If I gain a few, work a little harder .

I understand. In the same boat today. I do everything right and the scale does not budge. I promised myself I would not give up this time. If we can keep doing the right things, I know the weight loss will follow.

I know some days it feels like one step forward and two steps back. Don't cave in and do the best you can. This too shall pass. And since you are always praying for the good of all of us, Today I pray for your continued success and better days. Sorry I am not as eloquent as you are.

You were over on your carbs so you may have been kicked out of ketosis. When that happens to me I retain water and will go up around 5lbs. It is a natural thing. Just drink water and get back into ketosis again.

For a more general review of your menu. Go over and see if you are maybe overdoing sweeteners or cheese or nuts. Some us have to watch those items. Replace some of those carbs with veggie carbs perhaps. Be diligent about drinking water every day.

Don't give up!!! Use a calculator on the internet, - First off you determine your weight range by height, frame, male/ female chart- .... Example I am large frame, female 5'4- so my weight, range is 125-145... I am age 50 and love food. So right now,I will go for 145, maybe 140. That weight looks decent on me. Basically I have to be about 1300 calories or less a day with some exercise to lose.... I am guess for right now you would start off at 1500-1700 calories a day, and start off with walking. Just count calories, for now/ once the, weight starts dropping you can re,adjust

Don’t give up !! Both in same boat. Haven’t really gained but still gets discouraging. I know The one thing so far that keeps me hanging in there is I don’t like being defeated by a diet !!! Hopefully you don’t give either. Got your back

Try frozen meals for 3-4 days. Just to get your portions in control. That's easier than meal prep and it keeps you from going over your calorie count
