Hi Everyone

I need some advice for those of you that use SA based Protein shakes.
Should I go for Pro nutrition or nutritech. I used USN before however their carbs is high, taste was great but would like to use South african based products.

The carbs in Whey Protein is very little. I would bug about a gram or 2. But if it worries you, Supplements SA's Egg protein has only 1g per serving and Pro Nutrition has 1.7g. I think that is about a low as it goes. Egg protein is very good - little fat as well, but the taste..... uhmmmm.. I flavoured mine, even though it was choc flavour! It is quite different in texture too.

I use Pro Nutrition Whey Fusion. It's a blend of different proteins and low carb and fat. I have been using it for many years and haven't needed to change my choice. It's abour R450 for 90 servings which seems reasonable to me. The strawberry one tastes like Nesquick :D

At our supplement shop it cost R250.00 the guy said maybe the system is wrong but I can still get it for that price. The problem with Pro nutrition is that although it says 90 servings the protein is 16g on one serving so get the 32 g of protein you need 2 scoops which still give you 45 servings. Apparently the nurtitech taste better and is much lower in fat 0.9g fat as to Pro nutritions 2g of fat. But for the price of R250.00 for Pro nutrition I think I will try that one first. BBO did you have the chocolate or vanilla flavour as yet as peanut butter does not go well with strawberry.

Yolanda that's an interesting point! I've never measured out the 90 servings but I weighed a scoop and its 20g per scoop so two scoops is 40g and its 1.8kg pack so you are 100% right that you get 45 servings if you use two scoops. This is violation of labelling laws but I'll look into it and bring it to their attention. I've tasted all 3 whey fusion flavors and I enjoy them all. I've tasted another brand that had a cookies & cream but it was yuck!

BBO at the back of the pack they show you that you need two servings to get the value on the front of the pack but in front it does say 90 servings. Thanks Bren the Nutritech is also not badly priced and they have one for women that is labled lite

Got a Nutritech Lite at one of the shows, yes not bad at all.

Nutritech is honestly the best choice! USN lists things in their products that aren't actually in it. Nutritech is monitored

I've sent a message to Pro Nutrition stating that their info on the packaging is misleading. Will let you all know what their feedback is.
