In a pinch I will eat Cherrios but if I am going to eat cold cereal I choose Nature’s Path Heritage Flakes. Great taste, doesn’t get soggy in milk and really crunchy— 40 grams is a serving (about 1 cup) and I stick to that amount.

I agree with the meme. I think sugar-coated cereals are not the best choice for breakfast, especially for children. It's not the cereal. It's the sugar and food colorings that make many cereals unhealthy. I love cereals for a high carb breakfast on lift days. I prefer real fruits and berries to sweeten my cereals.

I actually love it... used to enjoy Grape Nuts and those granola types of cereals were great tasting. But I had to ween myself off of them several years ago.

I love lots of cold cereals - grape nuts,Cheerios, honey nut cheerios, corn and rice chex, rice crispies. Rarely eat any of them

When I was a kid the government told us it was part of a balanced breakfast. Hey maybe thats why I'm on Fat Secret. 😂

An acquaintance sent me this little cartoon, he lives on an Indian reservation in New Mexico. He is a professor, in his 80s now. At a young age he married an Indian gal and moved to her reservation, which is where they raised 3 daughters and they still live. Almost all Indians on reservations are diabetic because of their very, very, poor diets. Sugary cereal is a staple along with fry bread.

Dlonggone— as with almost any food, cereal can be part of your diet IF you can eat a sensible portion and just once in a while. Would I choose super sugary cereal or Oreos breakfast cereal— probably not, but once in a rare while I Love one of those individual serving size containers of chocolate Rice Krispies, but I would never buy a standard box of them.

Regular ole Cheerios is my one & only, and I rarely eat that.

My go-to cereal growing up was shredded wheat....not the sugary stuff. Now, if I eat cereal, it's the granola style. I'm more apt to sprinkle it on top of yogurt than eat a whole bowl.
