wish I liked chicken but it is absolutely disgusting for the most part. And eating it doesn't even taste the same from one bite to the next. So you ever just eat a piece of chicken and it is so gross after you were going along ok- like suddenly there's a piece of chunky/ rubbery cartilage or it tastes nothing like how chicken should? 🤮

I only eat white breast meat. I used to love awesome chicken dish I would order at a Chinese restaurant. Then they clearly changed the chicken. Instead of breast meat it was chewy and rubbery. Stopped eating there. If I were you, I just wouldn't eat chicken.

I am the same way when it comes to all animal proteins. I find them generally difficult to eat and usually have to prepare to be eaten in ways that don’t require using a knife. Preparing raw meat is difficult for me if done right before the meal so usually in fact almost all the time it is frozen after prepared. If I make burgers on the grill which includes handling the raw meat they get frozen and nuked for later meals. Eating meat off the bone is impossible. No chicken legs, ribs or tbone steaks!! Hamburgers, chili, chicken salad, in soups are fine. Eggs for me are another issue but can usually eat maybe one a week. They have to be fully cooked and disguised or hiding mostly unrecognizable. I can tolerate eating yogurt or cheese but would likely choke if I tried to drink a glass of milk. This morning I made a post about a roasted chicken which seems weird now and awkward like I am contradicting myself. Lol

I hate touching it which is why i dump chicken breasts in the pressure cooker most of the time. Rotisserie chicken is my friend for a reason and the dogs get the skin. Since winter is coming, you can make magic with a rotisserie chicken in a pot, including bone broth.

Yes the cartilage is gross. When I get the breasts, I take my kitchen scissors and cut off all the cartilage, fat and the vein so I now don't have that problem. My friend made chicken that was so good and so much better than mine. She said the secret is to not buy the cheap chicken but the more expensive kind as you get better quality. Haven't tried that yet cause our grocery bill is already more than i want, but it's a thought. But I usually don't eat it plain. Sugar free bbq or spicy creamy cilantro lime sauce or mrs dash, etc. That helps.

I cant touch the actual chicken. I either use sterile gloves or get my daughter or hubs to handle it. Once it’s cooked im mostly ok. Tho i only do chicken breasts and if i think about it to much cant eat it. Same with fish. Can’t even look at it if not cooked. I tend to stay away from the butcher aisle and the animal protein sections of costco and my local store. Glad im not the only one who feels this way.. even impossible burgers which are all plant based but very realistic looking i cant handle. I have to cook them frozen because thawed out they are so real looking.

I use good quality scissors and trim all the gross stuff off. I only eat the good pieces of chicken breast. I use plastic gloves like YOH. My favorite seasoning that, to me hides the “chickeny” flavor, is the McCormick Mojito lime powder and a little Himalayan salt. Also, I like putting (trimmed) chicken in the crockpot for 4 hours on high. I make Mexican chicken with cream cheese, con queso, a little chicken stock, and canned rotel. Then eat in a LC wrap.

Barehands, I rip apart the breasts and break the bones. I then throw it in a pit of fire and eat it while it’s still fresh from the fire

I’m cool. I clean toilets and most anything you can name, is that why I don’t mind cleaning raw meats? Trust me, it’s better than most toilets I know! 😂😂😂

Maybe you should try cooking it differently. But if you have and still find it gross then don’t eat it. There’s plenty of other proteins you could eat.

I love chicken. I grew up in a household where my daddy would cut up a chicken most Sundays. I still cut up chicken wings myself, split and pound breast.

I'm really hot and cold when it comes to chicken. I think I just have to nuke it with seasonings or fry it for me to truly enjoy chicken. I'm a beef and seafood type of gal 😅
