Hey Ab... Ireland is cool. It's not without its problems... The housing situation really is dire and finding an "affordable" place to live was really difficult. I wouldn't underestimate the housing crisis and if you do plan moving here, definitely do your research to where you'd like to settle. Shortage of rentals... Last week I think across the whole of Ireland there were less than 800 rentals available. But then the other stuff is great. Easy lifestyle. Easy access to public transport. I like the weather although it's not for everyone. Summers are amazing. Winters, well... They're cold, wet and Hella dark... But I don't think the weather is as harsh as England. Tax is high. Cost of living is high. But a euro stretches fairly far. If like us, you want to travel Europe, then this is a super place to do it from because it's really close. Amsterdam is just an hour away. France is about 2 hours. Greece is only 5 hours. New York is only 6 hours (flight times) so that's one of the main reasons we moved.
