There are some good plant based meat substitutes out there! I make homemade seitan with Italian sausage type seasoning (a homemade mix) and the only taste difference to me is it's less greasy. There's a website called It Doesn't Taste Like Chicken with a really good stretchy mozzarella recipe

I grew up eating plant based meat at home. Thank your stars the options are so much better tasting now than they were 40 years ago. Same for plant based milk. So many good options now if that's what you want to eat!
