Home made pot roast and veggies, gravy, and a slice of home made bread. Too complicated to figure out so just entered one from a restaurant. Good enough. But it was killer— it was so good. Portion controlled serving of all.

One of my husbands favorite meals.

It is challenging to log beef stew, pot roast and other foods with sauces accurately. To help I weigh the protein and sause separately... I love it!!!

I do the same thing with choosing something that I think is close. I won't weigh and measure for the rest of my life. Not doing it all of the time now. I have a pretty good eye for amounts. If I stop loosing at a good average per week then I will change.

I do the same with my turkey vegetable stew... I've calculated it all out a few times before and found out an entire bowl of my stuff was equivalent to a cup of the stuff already in the log. I don't really pay attention to macros much anyway so I figured calorie and carbs were close enough. So much easier than plugging in each thing individually or altering a saved meal because I changed up a couple veggies. 🤷‍♂️

Mimi Campbell— for me it is all about the macros. I don’t need to loose weight but I definitely want to spend my calories on foods that provide my body with the nutrients it requires to give myself the best chance to continue having good health while still enjoying wonderful tasting foods and occasional treats.
