I have lost my motivation and don’t really know what to do. I am falling back into old habits and that is the last thing I want. But I can’t seem to get out of this slump.

Dont be too hard on yourself. Realise this is part of the process and fitness journey. We all go through this, even pro athletes go through slumps. Take a mental break and get your mind right. Rediscover your motivation and drive by possibly visiting fitness and motivation wesites, follow your fitness idols on social media or look at pictures of yourself and form an image of how you want to look. Form a plan, set goals and then start. With that motivation and commitment you will become better than ever.

It happens to everyone, mentally I think the weight loss journey is harder than the physical change - try remember your WHY... Why did you start this, what was your goal. In the end it's "easy" to drop weight but it's hard to maintain and not end up in the same situation you were in and back in to the same habits that got you where you were. A total mindshift and lifestyle change is needed for it to really stick. I'm 18 months in and in June i also slacked off, but after 3 days I pulled myself back towards myself and carried on without looking back or feeling bad

Everyday is a new day, a new start! Don’t let your past determine your future… i have been fighting the same battle as you! Keep your head up and know that you are worth the effort you put in….

It’s good you spoke up now. I know sometimes life can throw us curve balls and then we throw our arms in the air and say, “why tf do I even bother.” Well… no matter what. Stick to your way of eating. During good and bad times. Because there will always be ups and downs. Take it from me, I have picked up most of the weight I lost last during 2019 and beginning of 2020 and I regret it. All that hard work was a waste. Don’t throw away your hard work. Of course you can take off a week or two. But don’t make it a year. Your health will be affected by the decisions you make. Definitely look back at past pictures of you. Compare them to what you look like now. You have plenty people here supporting you. You know exactly what to do. Climb on that scale. Get the shock you need. And make that next meal a nutritious an delicious meal your body will thank you for. Sometimes eating too many refined carbs can affect our mood. Making you feel worse. So make those necessary changes. You can do it❣️🤗

You are not alone. I'm currently "maintaining" instead of actually working towards my goal, since I just 👏🏻 don't 👏🏻 feel 👏🏻 it. Hang in there. Strongs 🌸🌸

I wish I could “like” all your comments. I knew it is something I needed to say on here. There are so many inspiring people here. In the end we are all in the same boat. I will definitely keep everyones suggestions and advice in mind. I really appreciate the encouragement. I know I am so close to my goal weight. I just need to push through. The mental challenge stays a hard one but it is nice to know I’m not alone. Thank you guys🌺 I needed to hear this today.

What are you saying "I have lost my motivation" - No never I can't imagine that could be true, they say numbers don't lie: You started at 104 kg you have lost 1/4 of your old weight (+/- 26 kg) and now you want to say you've lost you motivation, No I cant believe that - you should be so motivated just by looking at the facts, consider all your supporters cheering for you! Just read all the comments, come you're almost were you want to be! I haven't lost 26 kg but feel better, healthier! Have a cheat meal but then get back on track! (But remember I'am no expert, I sometimes feel the same and they say it's easy to talk! Lol) So I hope to see a -1 or -2 kg on the last scale reading! Lol

I think that staying on your path and reminding yourself of your end goal will help you get back. But also please help me and give me tips on how you lost the weight so far

Remember why started this journey, how did you feel at that precise moment. Slumps are normal, all part of the process. While on this journey we all have to deal with the emotional reasons for these habits and kinda look to ourselves. That in itself is the hardest. We are our biggest critics. Stay strong!
