I’m actually very scared to weigh in - I feel like I’ve actually gotten bigger from eating less calories which is so weird. I don’t binge eat either so I’m very confused.

Does anyone know why that might be happening?

Same with me. I eat only 1000 cal a day and loose nothing. As per my bmi I must eat 1800cal a day. What if I pick up?

Hi love, I don’t think dropping your intake would be good and increasing now might make you binge, so I think the best thing to do is maybe try a different workout routine if you are working out as well❤️ Please do keep in mind I’m not a specialist of any kind this is just opinion xx

Same boat I hate picking up and I only put my calories up from 1000 to 1300 and picked up 500g so bummed

dont look at your calories rather focus on the amount of carbs you are eating. If you can get them to 15g max a day you WILL lose weight. Try and get your macros to 70% fat, 20% Protein and 10% Carbs, I guarantee that you will lose weight. I have lost 2kg in 3 days. I previously lost 30kg on 6 months and I am not hungry. Good luck.

Be careful with the advice you get (including my own) and try to make sure your information is correct. Do NOT ignore calories. At the end of the day the only thing that matters is calories in calories out. If you eat 1000 calories of pure carbs and your body needs to 2000 to run itself then you are going to need to burn something from your body to keep it going, generally far. It’s really that simple and there is no shortcut or trick to just eating a deficit. You cannot eat 3000 calories of pure protein and fat and expect to lose weight. Now what you may find for yourself personally is that a low carb diet leaves you less hungry, less likely to binge, more likely to adhere to your caloric goal. If that’s the case for you then great, go with that! This doesn’t mean it will work for everyone, you need to find what works for you. As for feeling heavier even if you are on your calorie goal... don’t pay too much attention to weight on a day to day or even week to week basis. When you are on the scale you are measuring bone, muscle, fat, and a lot of other stuff. Even though that fat I dropping the other stuff can varie a good couple of kilos day to day. Just stick with it and give it time.

if you're not eating above your BMR you're slowing down your metabolism and your body is going into starvation mode. you need to only have a deficit of 300-400 cals from your TDEE. dont fall into the trap that eating below 1200 is sustainable or will work long term...

I need advise pls guys... If the application tells me I must eat 1600 calories a day to lose weight do I still take off 500 calories for the deficit? Could never understand this.... So then it's 1100 calories a day. I do not exercise.

Google how to calculate your daily calorie needs. it will explain better than I can. I'll try post a photo for everyone to see on how to do it

I think you should eat just as much calories as the app tells you too I do that and workout 3 times a week and have been loosing weight went 2 sizes down in jeans and feeling fit sometimes I also eat more calories than this app tells me but I think that's what works so try eating exactly the same amount they tell you and i hope you will be good ❤

I eat 800 a day and I’m loosing weight,about 1kg a week. And I exercise 4 times a week
04 Jan 21 by member: mpilwen
@mpilwen what exercises are you doing 4 times a week to lose the 1kg a week ?
04 Jan 21 by member: Teamfood
@mpilwen are you only eating 800 calories a day?? If so that is an extremely low amount of calories to eat especially with the exercise. You should be careful as that can cause serious damage to your body and metabolism

Eating 1200 calories a day is the daily recommended intake for a TODDLER! Seriously, please eat more, I started developing a serious eating disorder from only eating 1200 calories, people NEED more cals

remember, the goal is to eat as much as possible while still remaining in a calorie deficit, NOT to eat as little as possible

1000 cal/day or even 1200 cal/day is way to low. Your body is going into survival mode because subconsciously it thinks there is not enough food and its needs to hold onto every calorie it can find. If the app says 1800cal/day try and stay as close to that as possible

they recommended 1800 calories for me and i thought good because these apps will get you to do crazy things like suggest eat one meal a day.
04 Jan 21 by member: zusiphe zoeysikayi
The app recommended 2200 which I thought was very high and when I went on fat calculator it said 2000 so I started at 1600 and then gradually dropped to 1400 I think I should increase my calorie intake to 1500 just because I’m not really seeing the results of eating so little. Thankfully I don’t binge I just feel hungry but I’ve never had binging problems. It also just feels so defeating because even if I don’t do my Chloe ting I go for a walk or I do some form of exercise but I’m losing no weight I actually think I’m gaining 🥲

Watch dr. Greg Doucette on youtube (his diet and weight loss videos). You'll learn all you need to know. Most of these comments won't help you much. Losing weight is supposed to be a slow yet fun journey. The goal is to change your lifestyle, that way you can keep the weight off as well.
