CF931's Journal, 25 Nov 20

In the past, I have weighed less than I do now. Often. But I realized recently that I've never been on an ACTIVE weight loss journey. In the past when I had lost significant weight, it had been because of my medical condition. And now that I am actively on a weight loss journey, I've learnt some valuable lessons. I think it's very important for everyone who is on this journey, to be highly realistic. I often see people who, like myself, have quite significant weight fluctuations. And this affects a person deeply. But if you remain consistent (even if you fall off the cart every now and then) and then look at your average weight loss over a period of a few months, you would see that you DO in fact lose about 1 or 2 kg on average each months. Even with all the fluctuations. In addition, I don't think it's physically or mentally healthy to aim for a reduction in body fat percentage of more than 1% a month. This all sounds like very little... And sounds like it will take forever to show results... But just keep at it and the results will most definitely be worth it in the end. Next year this time, you will thank yourself
