Shereen Donede's Journal, 10 Jun 20

Today I made a huge change in my the method of family planning that I choose. I'm scared that it may affect my weight but I needed to make this change. women's health is not spoken about enough. I recently learnt that being on the pill after 35 put me in a high risk category for developing blood clots. weight loss is important but this step is just as important. so I'll be diligent over the next few weeks as my body adapts. fasting, calorie counting, workouts and lots of dog walks all balanced out with the occasional block of dark chocolate and my Friday G&T 🤣. hopefully my risk for clots reduces now. weight loss is one aspect, but overall health is the real goal here for me ♥️ I want to live a looooong life with my gorgeous husband!!!

Good luck! Any change has immediate effects, good or bad, but i find if you push through you and your body find the right balancing act to maintain the course.

Shereen, I personally think the chance of a blood clot unless there is a family history is very low. Another option is the mini pill. Wishing you good health either way. Keep warm sleep tight.
