Today's bright spot- the kitchen is cleaner than it has ever been. Pulled out every drawer and threw away a ton of crap. I smiled seeing the garlic press I've had since our wedding shower. I remember registering for it- among other things- as if I was going to be a wonderful cook. I've used it 3 times in 15 years. The downside is that no one will see my clean kitchen. Truth be told- I haven't had company in years. Social distancing or not- we rarely have people over.

Princess, I get that as rare people @ my house as well. Congrats on your clean kitchen!!!! I still have work to do on mine. Main water drain issues.

Well that is a bummer. I love to cook for friends and share a bottle of wine even though I don’t drink. I have Coors non-alcoholic beer. It’s very good I think.

That's a great idea for posts during this period of social distancing. Everyone should share photos of their accomplishments from start to finish as part of a Challenge. Can someone with better tech than I start something like that?

Yes Wifey- walked in the cold for about 45 minutes. Did a home workout with my weights for about an hour. Wasn't great but it's a start. Kenna- I don't know how to cook. I haven't had non-alcoholic Coors- but I do like a Coors light on rare occasion. Thanks, guys (and girls). Tim- yes- but thankfully only via computer so when the kitchen isn't clean, no one sees. :)

Kitchen Pictures?

My kitchen isn't pretty enough for pictures. It's clean, but it's not beautiful and I don't feel it would compare to others' kitchens and I'd be embarrassed. White appliances, white cabinets, dark hardwood flooring , lighter colored countertops, way too many windows so only a couple upper cabinets and open shelving across the windows. A giant basket of fruit on the counter, protein on top of the fridge, and tons of cereal that was also on top of the fridge until I reorganized yesterday. 😉

Jengetfit...I don't even know what aoli is. 😆🤷🏻‍♀️

Ok Chris...but I warned you. It's not magazine worthy. 😊

I'll post a pic later- after I clean it again. It only lasts about 4 minutes. Already dishes and stuff on the counter. Nothing makes me feel more accomplished than a cleared off, clean countertop ;) I mean- A great gym workout does but I'm talking during these corona times.

part of a nipple..... LMAO. I like you today. ;) I also would like to do some stuff around the house, but we are not allowed to leave. Thanks, Jen- I'll look into it.

In these times of such stress do your best to get out of your house and do what you can do to connect with other people. The world is still there, the sun still shines, the moon still rises and for those of you who live in more remote areas without all the urban lights, I bet the stars are beautiful. This will end but we are going to be forever changed by what is happening now. Do what you can to come through this emotionally whole. Your kids need to get out and see that their world is still there.

Girl, same. Kitchen is clean. Freezer is organized. The world is what's a mess. I'm going to suck it up once this is over and maybe get someone to help me either in the house or in the yard because it's very clear I'm not keeping up with all of it on my own. Today, we tackle part of the yard. Rains have it looking like I have grass. Too bad I have bark.
