Miliscentg's Journal, 20 Dec 19

have fallen off the wagon big time. I have literally gone back to eating the way I used to eat before I started this journey. gained 3kgs and counting. refuse to log in my weight because it will distress me. I need help, I feel like I am sabotaging myself. how do I go back to being committed again.

It starts with you. You have to write down your goal. Stick to a eating plan that you can change into your lifestyle, because diets don’t work. You can’t go back to your old eating habits. The weight will keep coming back.

Its water weight for now. Will br lost fast if you start eating healthy and drink drink drink water. Try to incorporate at least one healthy meal or two during the holidays. It is difficult... But give yourself like a treat per day to stop yourself from total sabotage and slowly you'll get back to healthy eating.

you are so far from where you started. looks to me more like your wagon hit a speed bump, but your seat belt was on 😉 you definitely haven't fallen off yet 👌🏼♥️ what has worked for me is to track my habits and weight using a chart (for habits) and a graph for weight. I keep these in my diary and daily I mark off my habits (I stick to five focus areas a month- eg walk xxxamount of steps, eat xxxamount of calories etc) this keeps me focused. I weigh daily/weekly but I only log my weight in my diary once a month on a bar graph... so that I can keep an eye on the long term goal... it's great for those times when I lose motivation to look back on the work I've already achieved.. it excited me to keep going. ♥️

Just be kind to yourself. This time of the year is hard for more than just diets.

Be kind and patient with yourself - take it one little step at a time to get back. I too am on Keto but with December eating at full blast, Keto I will meet in January. Meantime, I’m eating one meal a day, and where I have to eat more (ie social situations / functions), I stay away from sugar and carbs to balance the meat in eating that has sauces. I have no more than 2 fruit mince pies 🤫 . You know what your weaknesses are, so navigate your way around them - and give yourself a slight December break. When you overeat one day, take it easy the next day. Keep a few healthy eating habits which you can manage - like OMAD, or intermittent fasting , or drinking water daily or whatever else you can manage because it helps to remind you to not fall of the cliff with the wagon. You can do this!🙌🏾

My dear, so sorry to hear. Yet, the honesty in yrself is best motivation u have for now. Reality can be cruel, yet u know u have what it takes to face it. Every step in the right direction is progress. Realising reality is yr first. Well done. Now, get up from the couch and get moving. About yr diet, I would suggest start by halving yr sugar. Good luck. Merry Christmas

I came across an very true quote, which as an gamer myself, is true. "Look at it this way, think of it as upgrading and leveling an rpg character however you are the character"
