I might be almost 10kgs heavier but I still can run 10km under 1hr, wear size 8/32/S…this run really gave me a self esteem boost😂, I don’t know how to explain it, but the month of August wasn’t bad after all 😂😂

Whew its been over a year, such a roller coaster ride… still can’t believe that our worlds turned upside down in just a twinkle of an eye. I’m still in disbelief that we are still locked-down going into year 2. Weight gain was just inevitable for me, I was used to running all the time, chasing races and all that just stopped 😞. I’m back though 😁 and I am happy to be back.

7 day Fast completed. Lost 5.7kgs in total of which maybe half of it is water weight, body fat% down from 29.8% to 26.1% ( don’t know how accurate is the bathroom scale fat% calculator), lost 10cm on the waist from 94cm to 84cm.
This is good for people who are in lockdown and are not working from home, because I was unproductive for the whole 7days ( I walked to the grocery store 3 times just to buy water and also to just be out of the house and couldn’t do anything else). Maybe someone who is fat adapted wont struggle.
I had difficulty sleeping at night 😭😭, it was painful ( you’re tired but your body is not falling asleep “torture”).
It was a nice experience, my first ever 7day fast, might do it again later this year, on a week that I don’t have to work/study.
People on YouTube say they had bursts of energy during the fast, well I didn’t have any😂😂

Day 7 of 7... I am 18hrs to finishing 7days water fasting. Had a busy day went shopping 🤣🤣 which was good to pass time without me noticing, now Im tired just want to sleep but will prepare my veggie soup so that I can just warm it tomorrow morning... Good news we can run around our neighborhood between 6am and 9am😄😄 I am over the moon.
Yesterday was Day6 and I was just thinking about food(oats with Chia seed)😂 so weird but Im glad its done...

Day 5-118hrs(almost complete ) - during the day I was fine, at night😭😭 my body was just tired of fasting but I need to do this for myself, no more procrastinating and changing plans that I have already made. Only 2 days to go then my 7 day water fast is done. Last year I tried and failed dismally breaking the fast at 94hrs. So Im grateful to God for the strength to keep going.
Happy birthday to my hubby♥️🥰, Im only drinking water for his birthday, no cake or braai for me😂😂 I thank God for him, very supportive, loved me when I was 102kgs and still loves me now, always positive even when I felt like I will never be able to lose the weight, In every ultra/marathon I always look forward to seeing my hubby’s smile at the finish line💕🥰🥰...
