I don't get it. I did everything I was supposed to do. I upped my intake of water, and I've gained 2 pounds. The only thing I can figure is that maybe it's temporary. I just started drinking 110 ounces of water a couple of days ago.
Also, as I recall, I got stuck around the 250 mark last time I dieted. It's discouraging.

Yes, I am a couple of days late for my weigh in and that's not like me. I have to admit that I took a 'blow out' day that stretched into a few blow out days. I went up 3 pounds which I just didn't want to put in my record. I'm 3 days late for weigh in, but I got the 3 pounds off, plus 2 more. I can live with that.
I keep looking at my weight history. I'm now within 8 pounds of where I stopped the last time. That makes me feel good. It makes me feel even better to know I'm nearly 35 pounds down from my all time high.

I started eating chia seeds and safflower oil this week. It seems to be making a huge difference. I'm also finding I enjoy eating more fruits and veggies and keeping the calorie count down than I do obsessively counting each carb. I still try to keep the carbs down, but I'm more concerned with how much fiber I get in each day.
I'm within 10 pounds of where I was when I gave up the last time.
I have a doctor's appointment next week. The last time I was in their office, a mere month ago, I weighed 275. I know I'll be up a bit from what my scale says in the mornings. For one thing, I leave my shoes on. But I'm sure their scale will be down at least 20 pounds. That makes me smile.

We are on a downswing with the scale. That's a good thing. I just have to remember this on those days the scale won't budge, or worse, goes up despite compliance.
I'm going to try chia seeds today to add fiber to my diet.

I can't explain it. I've dropped 3.4 pounds after fighting for every ounce last week. This happens to me a lot. I'll take it, but I really hate it when I get on the scale and it hasn't budged, or worse, has gone up a little. It does that too, even when I'm doing well with my eating.
I wish I could get away from being so tied to what the scale shows. When it's down, I'm happy. When it's up or the same, I'm a little depressed. I guess it has to do with the work-rewards principle we all live by: when you work hard, you get rewarded with a paycheck or a clean house. Too bad it isn't that way with dieting.
