I've never written my bio here so I decided to do it today. I'm a 68 year old, divorced a couple of times and now single but with a part time live in autistic teenager of 13, my grandson. He is home schooled. He was baker acted from public school multiple times for being out of control so computer whiz that he is, online school is one of our last alternatives. I work full time from home as well so it works. I live in Central Florida, north of Tampa. I've managed to buy a home thanks to a small inheritance left to me by my mother. I think about retiring but I decided it's smarter to keep on working as long the company wants me. I lost my daughter when she was just 32 in 2016 to a heroin overdose, a sadness I pretty much live with everyday. Her name was Sara Ellen and she was smart, creative, artistic, played the flute beautifully and very much loved. She got lost along the way and I couldn't save her. Her son, my grandson resides with his Dad now, but spends his father's work days and splits weekends with me. I've been in sort of hibernation since the onset of Covid but it's okay because I really enjoy being alone. My son and his partner (who is also my niece by marriage) live only about 20 miles from me and are helping me with the home maintenance issues. I drive a Nissan which I love. The plan is this might be my last car and now that I no longer commute it may very well be. I have a 14 year old grandson in Michigan who is now playing JV football in his freshman year. He's a lineman , built solidly and is very handsome. He is also gifted with high intelligence and could be one of the lucky few who get it all. I'm an Air Force military brat, my Dad retired the same year I graduated from high school. We moved many times and lived in Germany twice for about three years each time. He and my mother have both passed on. I'm the product of an excommunicated Mormon from Idaho and a Southern Baptist from Alabama. I belong to the Methodist church at this time but haven't attended since I moved. I have an older sister, a younger sister and a brother who I always thought of as my baby. i have big feet, I always hated my nose, I love dogs, my last one lived to 16 (he was with me longer than any of my husbands), I have a 21 year old cat that seems to be immortal according to my son but he is fading, I LOVE to read and always have, I finally read Crime & Punishment, I like documentaries and British detective 🕵️‍♀️ shows, and veterinarian programs, I am addicted to Amazon, l have a pedometer, I'm about ready for a hearing aide, I love to sing and I can carry a tune (mostly), I always wanted a horse, I loved bicycling around Germany alone and visiting museums, I was a candy striper at the American hospital during Vietnam and saw some things, I was born in Virginia, I recycle diligently, I'm not a great housekeeper but I do try, I love the woods and lakes and the ocean and mountains, I try to stay positive and grateful because in spite of everything, I really am blessed. 😊

I have to admit shock and frustration when I found that I had gone up about 2 pounds this morning. I mean I've just adjusted my RDI down for my previous weight loss and I even had extra calories left over last night. So I started Googling, not what the heck as I wanted to say, but how I could gain two pounds in one night. I found this response on a free Noom comment and it makes a great deal of sense. "Your true weight is an average of your last 3 weigh-ins. When you take the average of 3 weigh-ins, you get rid of the unusually high or low weights (the extremes), to give you a more accurate idea of your weight". This statement calmed me down. I also found a scientific type article about the body storing glycogen which I sort of understood. So, whatever my weight is today, I am still me, trying to be a good person and I'm going to have a happy day anyway. ☺️
