Holy crap! I’m in the teens! 🎉🎈 Will weigh in again tomorrow to make sure it’s not dehydration, but today I’ll take it 😄

@Manatee: Once I committed to my WFPB/Vegan diet and made it a challenge to eat as farm-like as possible, it was like driving in 5th gear. Exercise is fun, but the food is the make it or break it factor. I would encourage your family to learn to cook healthy foods instead of desserts for you.🤗

Haha. My daughter has started to expand her cooking repertoire. She is creating her own recipes now. My son may get into Mediterranean cooking after his cooking double date meal I picked for him. That would be good. And I just need to man up and start cooking again.

JB it’s the truth isn’t it. No matter how much you exercise diet can absolutely make or break your health.

Diet is what is keeping me from really moving forward. I get plenty of exercise but just haven’t conquered the diet side. So even more props to JB!

@Manatee: Living on a farm, you’ve got half the battle won already! I would be pestering your neighbors for some cooking lessons or recipes, too, since I bet they eat really healthy, too (yes, I remember them). It makes me happy to hear that everyone is expanding their menus 🤗💚

@YoH: I agree — it’s like driving with the emergency brake on. But it’s so much harder to change our diets. Have you reduced your protein intake to a normal amount yet?

Haven’t stepped on the scale this month yet, @Manatee. Right now I’m nursing fever and chills and dehydration from yesterday’s flu and Covid vaccines. Any loss would be water weight, so I am holding off. Not cheating on my WOE, if that’s what you meant 😇

Hope the side effects wear off quickly, JB. Had mine separately (availability, not intentional choice), and the Covid one knocked me off kilter for a couple of days as well. Get better! 😁

JB i feel for you. I was knocked over for a couple of days with that shingles vaccine. One more to go. Hopefully by tomorrow you are feeling like your old self. Curious, do you still get urges for bread that are hard to deal with? (I think you said bread was hard for you to give up?).

@wyo and YoH: I’m fine now, as my fever broke around breakfast. Took a nap and had some coffee and a banana 👍. No to the bread. I eat salads instead of sandwiches. I don’t have much of a sweet tooth so desserts don’t tempt me. Pizza always smells better than it tastes, so I can pass on it. Pasta is the only bread item that I cry over, since I always want to overeat it.

Well if you could pass on to me the lack of a sweet tooth i could sure use it. Was just wondering if I can get myself to the place where im not thinking about the foods that aren’t good for me. Ive always allowed myself here and there to indulge but i got so out of control im afraid to give in to just a taste. Super glad you are feeling better my friend.
