Well done. I changed jobs in Feb last year and moved out of an environment that had me really messed up health wise. Started gym in June 2022, weighing in at 112kg. With some consistency and fixing mental and physical health I have lost 16kg. That has taken 11 months almost. In Feb 2023 I hit a weight plateau and felt almost demotivated for the last two months. Then I changed things up a bit with my diet and also started drinking lots of water. This seems to have kickstarted the weight loss again. So don't feel like you need to get there all at once. Enjoy the journey of becoming a better, healthier you. Rome was not built in a day but you can burn it all down in a day. So stay consistent, keep pushing and don't give up. Your breakthrough could be one change away.

@phiwe, So my diet wasn't that great, I was eating white rice, white bread and things that raised my sugar levels and didn't keep me full for long. So I have moved away from processed carbs, I do still have certain carbs because our bodies do need them. However I have increased veggies and protein to larger proportions than carbs. So for instance, I do roasted butternut with lots of herbs, sweet potato and grilled chicken. When these items are spiced up nicely with mixed herbs, meat spices and things like lemon juice then it really makes eating them enjoyable. The sweet potato satisfies the craving for sweet stuff. I now have more fibrous veggies and greens. Even doing unless chicken burgers which is better than you would think. The other change I made was to cut out second helpings of food. This is only possible if you are eating enough foods that fill you and don't spike sugar levels then leave you feeling hungry later. The other change I made was to cut out any take away foods. You can make the same thing but with much less calories and it tastes great. Small changes with consistency. I don't feel for chocolates or anything that's just going to spike sugar levels. I found the sugar levels because of processed carbs made me very hungry. Now I do stirfry with some protein be it chicken or pork or beef. It keeps me full for long from lunch. It's quick to make aswell and I have started to enjoy making these lunches instead of sandwiches. But just switch it up, I read somewhere that sometimes our bodies just nerd a little jump start with something different. Also no sugary drinks, they are calories for nothing.

Also, another change I made was to reduce the amount of calories at dinner time. You don't need lots of calories before bed to sustain you when you are sleeping. So reduce your dinner intake. The only way you can do this is if you have a decent lunch that keeps you full for long. I'm learning as I go along. I used to think skipping a meal would help but then I was so hungry I binged at dinner then ended up having way too many calories before sleeping which has nowhere to go but turn to fat. So more calories when active and less when you are going to sleep.
