Welcome to Motivational Monday!
I didn't want to post my weight since I gained since last week. I felt embarrassed, seeing all these awesome weight losses being reported. I was feeling a bit defeated, then it dawned on me: ummmm I have a plan in place that might not show weight loss for a bit, as I transition back to my diet. It's MY plan. I don't have to share it. I don't have to explain it. I don't HAVE to post anything!
Stop comparing yourself to others! Sometimes, I just feel "less than" and defeated when I look at others' successes (especially weight loss before/afters). Compare yourself to YOU. Take a moment, write out how to get yourself to the next step. What have you achieved this past year? Maybe you can't identify an accomplishment; you're HERE! Give yourself a hug for surviving 2022. It's okay to be Not Okay. You'll get inspired in your own time, with your own plan.
Avoid social media, if need be. All those filtered, well-lit, perfectly angled strangers are not role models. Your best friend is in your mirror. Make THAT human happy! (and the people & pets who adore that human).
