With the price of food in SA at the moment, I'm trying to do an experiment.
My husband and I normally do grocery shopping every Sunday for the week as I like to have fresh produce. But he has given me a goal to try to save money every month on food, so I have decided to try to do a month's grocery shop and see if that makes a difference.
Does anyone have recipes or tips I can use to plan a month's meals?
Dinner, Breakfast, Lunches, and snacks.
(I try to stay under 1400 cal a day)

Hi Caro, My Mum used to shop on a Budget and she made the most Stunning Meals for us growing up. This works well if you have Deep Freeze Space and Eat Meat (Chicken, Lamb, Beef, Pork) Example: She would buy Half a Lamb at the Butcher and request Specific Cuts for Different Meals i.e. Lamb chops, Lamb Curry, Lamb Stew and Mince for Pasta or Lasagne etc. You could also freeze Fresh Veg like Carrots, Grated Tomatoes, Crushed Garlic, Corn, Green Beans, Peas, Buy your Potatoes and Spices monthly and Salad Stuff weekly etc. You then have your Portion of Meat, Veg, Salad or Starch. She was very Savvy this way. Hope that helps. 🤓
