@Kenna, I do understand the original intention of the post, and for the most part, I agree 🤷🏼‍♀️. But it’s not the end of the world - at least for some of us.

Yes, as much as I love burgers. I wouldn’t eat it on the daily. For one it’s 💸, 2 it’s because I would have to rearrange my macros to fit. But I also wouldn’t deprive myself of this heavenly pleasure forever also 😏

Yup. My grandfather ate four eggs and bacon with buttered toast for breakfast, a baloney sandwich or two for lunch and whatever my grandmother could scrape up for dinner every day. He lived into his late eighties and was pretty much taken down by cancer from prolonged chemical exposure over the years. He had low blood pressure issues from time to time. Not embracing the burger as a lifestyle, just saying we’re all different. He also walked religiously as part of his way of life.

@FakeNH: was it really FH if your family members all ate garbage? My grandfather was the only one who ate bacon and ground beef often. He’s also the only person who developed heart disease. It’s not hereditary if I eat gobs of cheese and then my LDL goes up. It’s just the consequences of eating too much saturated fat over 2 years. Reduced my intake, LDL immediately went down. Side note: I haven’t seen any medical doctors on FS.

Katsolo, agreed. 👍 My grandfather started cooking his bacon about 5am, it cooked very slowly and filled the home with the wonderful aroma of bacon. Then had it for breakfast everyday along with real butter toast. Lived to 92, and died of prostate cancer that if he went to the doctor earlier he would have lived on for many more years. We all are different and follow different paths, but all of us should be like my grandfather, with a wholesome love and respect for others. Life is very short no matter how long you live!

For those of us who are older, our grandparents had physically hard lives and ate what they had and it was metabolized and utilized very quickly. There was also no processed foods. It wasn’t until after WWII that things changed. WOMDER BREAD came out with sliced bread and it’s been downhill ever since. Heheheehhe
