Sandy, you can move 5lbs 10 times or move 10lbs 5 times and it'll add up to the same 50lbs. Light weights are less stressful to your muscles when lifted at the same speed. For rehabilitation purposes or just starting out it's better to start with lighter weights to get the exercise perfected and then gradually increase as you can.

Looks great! And, I can verify his perfection in all things since we are friends and "neighbors" irl! Have a great day, Mr Muscles!

Danny - it was just north of 1700 calories when coupled with the ice cream, chips, and Oreo (I served 3, but only ate 1).

The teriyaki shop folks like me and always add a little to my order... Things like that are why I weigh and measure EVERYTHING!! Those extra fries in your "McDonald's small fry" might wind up close to 100 calories if you weighed it out instead of trusting the preset serving size lol

Oats - my program is a hybrid: I have my ultra heavy day, the light day, and 2x combo days of pyramiding down from heavy to light. I actually find 10 reps with super long eccentrics and trying to stabilize form and getting the deepest stretch possible to be MUCH harder than just moving a heavy weight. Plus the heavy stuff limits the amount of sets I can do before form starts cracking lol.

Melissa is correct, I am perfect 🤣. But don't call me Mr. Muscles since your biceps are the size of my thighs!

I’m allergic to shrimp😭😭😭. Looks delicious.

I also 'pyramid down' and agree about the perceived difficulty of long eccentrics and deep stretch vs. the brute force of just moving a heavy weight and not dying.

Mel, I think it’s wonderful that you and Chris are friends in real life and neighbors. Chris has been on this site for as long as I have, and I remember when he was just a skinny little kid with sassy comments for Diablo 🫣Now he’s Mr. big muscles and all grown up 🥹🥹🥹

Kay, it is super cool! We first met in person when a group of us from fs got together just as we were beginning to learn about a thing called covid 19. He has been to our house multiple times... Met my kids and my cats and had long conversations with my hubby and me, taught me how to grow new trees from branches of ones we snagged from the neighbor, donated a weight lifting bench to help us keep going when the gyms all closed down. He is one great guy with a ton of knowledge and the kindest spirit ever! He doesn't know it yet, but he is going on a ten mile walk in just over a week. He is fearful of losing all his muscle doing such a lame activity, but I just want to see if he can keep up! 😂

I've got my rollerblades all shined up and ready for the walk!

Besides, a 10 minute walk isn't bad...
