... a few months before covid I did a 35 day water fast.

No food other than omega 3 and a multivit. I’d heard from the intrawebs that death could set in at about 50 days, so I figured I’d be ok to aim for 42 days of not eating. I liked the idea of some fat loss, some spiritual insights, and I wanted to experience what real hunger felt like.

Towards the end, I was so weak I had to crawl from my bed to the bathroom to vomit, and my eyesight was deteriorating rapidly, so I stopped. It was an amazing experiment, but it’s not for everybody.

I broke my fast with delicious watermelon

😮I’m happy you lived to tell the story. There was a man that fasted for over 365 days, but he was morbidly obese when he started his water fast and had several doctors monitoring him. I’ve also seen a few YouTubers doing 40-50 even over 100days. The problem is developing some vitamin deficiencies afterwards. As the saying goes, too much of a good thing can be bad too. Fasting is great but intermittently is best for long term health. Intermittently can be as long as a 3 days fast. Longer than that should be 7 days max if you will be doing it yearly. If anyone decides to do longer fasts. A doctor should know and check that person regularly.
