Good read Kenna! I’m drinking way too much coffee, starting today I’m cutting it in half.🥲
Happy Thursday!🌺

Shrewdness— it’s so easy to get off track. It’s good to just check yourself once in a while and make sure you are on the right road. Weight loss and maintenance is not easy.

3 liters too much? 😳 Hyponatremia was supposedly really hard to achieve. Now this article says drink a bit of too much water and it gonna kill ya? Whaaa.

It is essentially drumming too much water and not eating enough nutrients will throw your electrolytes off. My husband was in the hospital for 5 days in January with this. His sodium level was 115. Except it was light beer he was drinking too much of 😥. That's called beer potomania.

Water is very important but over hydrating. runs real risks just like under hydrating.does. These are things that we in the medical world see every single day. There are so many novices here who are following the herd and really have very little knowledge of the potential pitfalls.. these are really important things to be aware of especially for people who are older or have other medical conditions and those who take prescription medications. Just be aware, READ, do some research.

It actually is. Water should also contain electrolytes to replenish the ones that were lost.

Humble Muslims — most electrolyte waters have very little electrolytes in them., that’s part of the reason why it is important to understand a bit about fluid and electrolyte balance. This is really important for serious athletes, people who work out doors in the heat, serious runners or people who sweat a lot and people who take water pills for whatever reason. Your best bet is to get your nutrients and electrolytes from food. People often think that supplements are safe because they are not prescription and can be purchased over the counter but that is so not true.

@Kenna Morton...I agree. Not only that but water pills and many other supplements damage the liver.

Humble— there are medications that have the potential for damaging many body organs;, the gut, the liver, the spleen. People who take those medications are typically monitored for changes in their liver enzymes, their kidney function etc. it is really important that we as patients read the package inserts that are given to us by the pharmacy for any medications that is prescribed for us. Don’t rely on the doctor alone for being your only source of cautionary information. And very important, take your medications as prescribed.
