Million?? Oh my goodness. You should see a house here in NS, Canada for $1.7 million. A mansion! Housing there is very overrated by the looks of this. I’m stunned!

Along the beach where I hike are a group of “cottages” —4 to be exact. About 1600 sf, no front yard , nice back yard for entertaining. $49 million dollars.

An average 1400 sf , 50-60 year old tract home sells for $700,00. My condo is $1200 sf and would sell for about $450,000. If I rented it out it would be $2800.00 month. That is what the people behind me pay.

Wow! That house in Vegas would be about $350-400 thousand. My family all live in Calif.

It's crazy the difference in what homes cost in different areas. Our Niece & her husband sold her 75 to 100 year old home in Toronto...2 story with basement...maybe 1400 to 1500 square feet on the two upper floors for about $800 thousand a couple of years ago. It had a tiny postage stamp back yard. They had done some renovations. They bought another home in the suburbs for half that.

I can't afford my own neighborhood if I had to buy in. it's crazy. but, a lot of the people here who cry about high rents in and just outside the city refuse to go even a few miles east where it's 1/2 to 2/3 the price and you have yards, trees, etc.
