My favorite breakfast meal right now! Quaker Oats Maple and Brown Sugar with Blueberries. It has 76 grams of crabs. So tasty and yet so simple to make for the working Moms or anyone that loves blueberries :)

@Diana1234... I agree! Carbs help with my exercises too. I try to do more carbs earlier in the day and less as the day progresses as well. It helps my glucose levels. I have Diabetes.

I have that almost every morning too! But mine looks messier since I usually add frozen blueberries and the whole bowl full looks blue. The last week I've been toasting the oats before adding water. It is a nice and nutty favored change!

@Melissatwa That sounds very delicious! I need to try toasting mine. :) I have also tried strawberries and frozen pineapple chunks. If I need a little more carbs, I will throw in some almonds. It's become one of my favorite meals!

Oh, I wish I could like oatmeal! I know it's healthy, but I just can't eat it. I tried a couple months ago and even with honey and chopped nuts I just hated it, although I did finish it. Goes back to when I was a kid. I think it's the texture. I like cream of wheat, but it's not nearly as good for you as oatmeal. Now I could eat oatmeal cookies as long as there aren't any raisins. Don't I sound like a little kid who is a picky eater?

Don’t like plain oatmeal 😅

Try Old Fashion Oatmeal. The texture is much better than instant varieties.

@Fritzy22... That's completely understandable! My Son didn't like oatmeal for the longest time and he only ate cream of wheat or he would do sweet rice, which my Mother got him hooked on. LOL! Very traditional Latin dish. Now, he's a Senior in High School and he eats it all the time. He is a textured kind of person too.

@rosio19... I am going to have to try with raisins. Haven't done that one yet..! I don't like mine plain either. I need different flavors and textures.

@hummer lover... I am actually going to try the old fashion kind because because someone mentioned earlier to try toasting the oats first and I think that kind would work better and plus I like the texture of old fashion!

My favorite is steel cut oats with apple, cinnamon, and craisins.

@RedStook... Oh! That sounds amazing! I love steel oats. I just got into them this year. I think it's the texture..lol!

If you soak steel cut oats overnight in water w/a tsp of ACV, they can be heated in the microwave the next morning w/no drama. My ratio is 1/4 cup:1/4 cup oats to water for soaking with another 1/4 cup of water added when I heat it up. Not into it right now, too warm.

Read up a bit on oatmeal. The coarser the cut, like steel oats the longer it takes for your body to break it down and digest it. Less BS spike. Instant oats have essentially been predigested so have a much faster BS spike.
