Allisa1's Journal, 06 Aug 19

I've been on diets and weight loss programs from the tender age of 14 and it's been a mental fight and battle to uphold or sustain a certain calabre of what society thought /thinks is the right weight and size. Ive grow and I have had 2 kids in the process, I've always considered my eating habits to be healthy as well as my exercise regime. How ever here is the catch.... You can't follow quick diets, or now I exercise and now I don't, it has to become a lifestyle, it has to be calorie restricted (but doesn't have to be boring) exercise has to be consistent and yes you can cheat as long as it's a meal at a time not a day or days, yes you can cut yourself slack at times but slack needs to be short lived. And then only then when it's no longer an effort and it becomes a norm only then will you achieve your long-term goals it has taken me a good 15 years to realize this. Obviously this is my story and might not apply to you who is reading this but it might to someone else. To everyone trying to find the balance and sustaining it. Hats off
