I have had a huge December - Bro-in-law passed away in second week of the month and was cremated on Christmas Eve. Needless to say Christmas celebrations were low key, but lots of grub and drink was quaffed so very surprised to see a 0.2 kg increment in weight!

Not that I haven't been facing daily food challenges - in the run up to xmas, my new workplace consumed one container of chocolates every two days! I've been a goodish girl, being selective but it has been hard. Work Christmas dinners (x2) where the calorie count was off the record. Then family Christmas' and Boxing day meals to sink a sailing ship.

Exercise hasn't been great but am taking proper lunch breaks and walking for 30 mins plus a couple of cycling stints during the week have kept things ticking over. Participated in a 30 day planking challenge ... got to two minutes just before the xmas madness and never finished it - not liking being a quitter. May just finish the programme this month - just for the hell of it!

I have joined a free organised beginners running club next week, completed me registration and will be joined by a few of me associates. Should be interesting and may help shed an additional kilo or three. Seems to be a national project - check for your local group.

Almost forgot to update the status of the Phantom dog pooper - after terrorising the neighbourhood for two weeks - I got up early a few mornings and managed to identify and talk to the offending animals owner. After a small hiccup, he's got the message and our street is remarkably 'monster poop' free.
