SherryeB's Journal, 15 Mar 24

Well, the power went out just as I was starting to get ready to go to the Gym today. It was raining & I was already feeling a lack of motivation....but I had every intention to go. Hubby didn't want to leave the house til the power came back on. We decided to go tomorrow, instead. If we don't get there by 1:00, it starts to get busy on the weight machine floor by the time we finish with the rest of our routine. He said I could go on ahead without him, but I like going together.

Today ended up being pretty much a rest day. I did routine chores & folded a load of laundry from the dryer, but that's about it. I spent the afternoon reading & watched 3 episodes of Friends on DVD. I checked them out at the library & I'm on the last renewal .

I'm making chicken sandwiches for dinner. I've been trying to decide what to serve with them. Since the oven is out of commission, nothing cooked in it is an option.

I was a little sore again this morning, but it's worn off over the course of the day....no Ibuprofen needed.

Hubby finally got all of our tax info prepped for our accountant & in the mail today. He's been working on that for the past couple of weeks. Now he should he free to do something else.

We have a guy coming out next week to look at our property & tell us what needs to be done to get us connected to the new fiber internet service that's new to our county. Right now, it's been installed to the top of our long driveway. I don't know how much digging might be involved & potentially making a mess of my gardens 😕

We're also waiting on our tree guy to come in & take down several very large pines behind our house. A couple are a nuisance....they drop needles & pine sap on our decks & deck furniture. A couple of them are close to the house & leaning a bit towards the house. It will be nice to get them down, but more potential for messing up the yard. Our guy has been booked up & and busy, so we're waiting for him to get to us.

I have a couple of outdoor projects that probably can't get done til they're all finished.

Lucy is crying for her dinner. It's a little early, but I guess I'll go feed her & Teddy.

Bobby and the cats don't believe in daylight savings time! I was feeding them at 5:30 am and pm. So now that's 6:30, right? They don't buy it and start bugging me around 5sm and pm! I've been doing laundry today and keep trying to decide whether take my DVDs with me. I donated a lot to the thrift store but have all the seasons of Friends, Seinfeld and Everybody Loves Raymond. I can stream them, except for Seinfeld.

Fritzy, the dogs are on their own schedule. We started feeding them 3 times a day (around 8, 12:30, 7) cause Teddy has chronic pancreatitis. We devided what they would get in 2 meals to 3 so he has less in his tummy at a time. He also gets a meatball (wet dog food) at 6PM with some meds in it. Lucy gets one, too....no meds. Sometimes it feels like I'm taking care of toddlers. Hubby does their breakfast, but I usually do their lunch & dinner. They get a combo of rice, wet & kibble for breakfast....we add some green beans at dinner. It all gets warmed in the microwave. Teddy's kibble also gets warmed with water cause he's lost many of his teeth.

We have some DVD's that I should probably donate, cause we don't watch them. We also have a whole library of CD's. Both Hubby & I stream our music most of the time. We have Sirius radio in the car that we can stream on our TV & phones as well. I have an old Ipod that I use occasionally.
