update on surgeon appt:
my last xray and mri was from a little over a year ago it showed a torn meniscus and arthritis and Dr says I had loose weight first so 2 weeks ago when I went he had me do more x-rays and we went in there yesterday and he went over the xray and showed me that the arthritis had gotten worse and now I have 2 bone spurs that were sticking out and since I am having so much problems outta my leg and knee he said I'm normally too young for knee replacement surgery but he will put in for it because I need it with the shape of the knee and the bone spurs and arthritis...gonna try to do a partial but may have to have a full knee replacement either way knee replacement surgery will be soon.
But he's leaving the facility and not working there anymore so he's sending all the files and info over to another surgeon in the same city and will put in there the recommendation for the partial or full knee replacement which ever one I can get by with but now I have to wait and let the Dr office call me and schedule a appt and go in and speak with him about it and let him schedule the surgery. I did ask how long it would take before I can get it done and he said after the holidays and then should be in January and it shouldn't take long to get it done....

also he never said anything about the torn meniscus and I didn't see it either but it could have healed on its own, and another surgeon I saw there before I switched to the one I had now had told me that the arthritis was bad and eventually it would keep getting worse and that I would need a knee replacement surgery but I didn't have bone spurs back then and just in this time it has gotten worse and caused bone spurs and arthritis was alot worse...

Hate to hear you have to switch Drs, but Congrat's on moving forward with the surgery!

Thanks ladies I am so ready to be able to walk around and get some exercise in like normal people and be able to cook, clean and grocery shopping and all the things I have not been able to do since 2017,I thought my first surgery would fix it but it didn't but with a knee replacement surgery I should be able to do most of the things I once did and walking around and standing is my one thing the most I need back and to be able to cook and clean like I did before....

Hope you are able to get it done sooner than later. Changing Drs is a bummer though. Best of luck!💜

I recall how much I hurt back in June when I did my restart Sara! Simply standing or bending over almost made me cry. When I look at how little it hurts now...it's night and day in differences. I hope those simple movements that we take so much for granted are restored to you as mine have been to me!!!

Hubby has had both knees replaced and the recovery was lots of hard work, but he is now pain free. He did PT prior to surgery and we are convinced that helped with the outcome.

RHontique I don't mind physical therapy if it helps you but if they hurt me one time I'm done and will donit at home myself I know ppl who have left Pt in more pain than they went in there in. My hubby wouldn't don't they hurt him so bad,and at 2weeks was lifting boxes and light furniture moving us.But I helped him do it at home..
