Thanks oceangirl and yes it happens quite often due to the meds I take and then I take ozempic which causes me constipation most days and then diarrhea the rest of the time...and yes my Dr gave me the linzess to take daily but if I do take it daily it causes uncomfortable and uncontrollable diarrhea daily so I only take it when I don't go for 3-4days...Good news is I just had to use the restroom and did have a BM. The scale now says 308.8 but I have drank 2 bottles of water and ate breakfast so I'm hoping by in the morning I should be down to 307 or under .....thanks for your help and support and birthday wishes for the hubby....

Thanks ocean girl, zenus morticia and everyone for the birthday wishes for my hubby and for being here and helping me out I love this app and thank God for everyone who is here to help others and me when we need it.. ocean girl Thanks for asking about my situation and I'm glad I finally went as I was getting worried myself and my stomach feels like I just kept loading food and water on it and nothing going out, I need to go a couple more times to really help get all that food outta the colon. Crazy how meds can make you feel awful by the side effects from them...I still look like I'm 6mo pregnant but hopefully it will continue to go down....

I'm struggling with this affliction! I cut my amount of coffee from 2 large to 1 large but no white sugar and no 1/2 and 1/2. I think I get plenty of fiber so it's got to be caffeine. once every 5 days isn't good enough for me! good luck (to us both) happiest of birthdays and many happy returns of the day to your hubs

I know a lot of folks don't want to add supplements to their diet, but those of you suffering from constipation might want to consider adding a magnesium supplement to your diet. Post covid, I was having issues with my heart rate being high when I tried to sleep, following a tip I got on a long covid video, I added Magnesium bisglycinate to my green drink and not only did it ease up the high heart rate while prone issue, it also made me very regular....without cramps, diarrhea or multiple BMs per day. It had an excellent side effect of helping me quickly fall into a deep restful sleep. It's a powder, has a taste similar to the old Alka-Seltzer tablets. I have not had to use a stool softener or a laxative since I started taking a teaspoon of this daily. I do make an extra effort to get enough fiber into my diet simply for my gut health and the feeling of fullness and satiety it provides.

I second slowly adding magnesium and also movement. My cousin couldn’t leave the hospital until she had a bm and she walked around until she had one.

Thanks Debra and success body I don't use powders but I have been taking magnesium citrate pills for 6mo now my problem isn't not enough movement or fiber it's the 3different meds I'm on that causes constipation and one is for drug addiction I've been on it for 6yrs now my Dr has been cutting me down slowly but it still has a tiny bit of narcotic in it which causes constipation and the other 2 are diabetes meds like the ozempic it causes constipation 5out of 7 days a week and then the other 2 it causes diarrhea so my Dr wants me on the linzess daily but it will kill me daily as usual I take it and have diarrhea the whole day and you can never trust a fart while like that or it will seep right on out that's why I only take it if I have to...

I understand that my friend! It's a damned if you do and a damned if you don't situation! If I went that long without a BM though, I would literally explode! Hopefully, with time you will see some relief as you are weaned off of some of the meds!
