You are blessed. I miss my friends!

liv001, it sounds overly emotional, I know. But it really was a miracle. The opportunity to remember and appreciate, in full awareness, the first women who helped me trust again. It was a coming home of sorts. Back then, I was only just beginning on a path to trust and it got very, very painful before it got better. But it did get better. It got better even while I was unaware of it. And now, I am aware of it. And I never need return to that painful place again. 💙 Thank you for allowing me a space to express that. I had not put it to words until now. 💙💙💙 The words are just tokens of reality but they help my mind keep up with my heart. 

I love when I've connected with old friends and even friends in FS! I've had great experiences with both! 

You are so lucky. I miss those college friends. I talk with some of them, but the bonding from those years is something else in person. 

That’s awesome. It feels so nice to reconnect with people from the past (who have not changed in terrible ways, as sometimes happens, unfortunately). I recently moved back to the area where I grew up and have reconnected with a couple friends from high school days, it has been a wonderful thing to bring those friendships back to life. Happy for you that you got to experience that! 

Reconnecting with people who knew where you were and who can appreciate where you are are now is a wonderful gift Unity! 

Diana 1234, It is a gift to be able to do so. I was not able to connect with anyone until college. And although we don't live far away from each other, our lives are in different stages right now. Yet, it was a very meaningful moment for me!

debrafrederick, yes! There are fewer than 5 people who know my story. Even my friends from college did not have all the data, if you will. But they still knew as much as I'd admit. Not like it is any big story. I just didn't let anyone in. But those 2, they still came out to connect and we had a great time!  

One of my closest friends is my college roommate. We met our freshman year and were roommates three years. Missed our junior year as I spent it at the Sorbonne. I've known my other bestie since middle school or as it was called way back then, junior high. We see each other regularly. We've seen and been through a lot in the last 50 years. I'm blessed to have such wonderful friends. 

Tink1953, connecting on a deep level with someone is newer for me. It is a beautiful thing, indeed. My college girlfriends and I were close but that was really just the beginning of understanding what it meant to allow true connection. My kids and my best friend (their father) have helped me the most...
