As you get smaller, your body burns fewer calories unless your activity level increases. Muscles in your body burn lots of calories. Many of us exercise vigorously to build muscle, which allows us to eat more without weight gain. However, caloric restriction alone WILL work. It is normal for weight loss to slow down as you get closer to your goal.
