does anyone have experience with this??? if I'm not pregnant, it turns out my medication (Vyvanse 40mg) has the potential to interrupt/stop my cycle.... (thanks hyperfocus and 1 hr worth of research) I really don't like these facts so I will be talking with my doctor... women are hormonal and cyclic; interruption the natural cycle is unsettling to me. I have been basically sick and useless for 1.5 weeks now.

All prescription drugs have potential side effects. It is up to us to decide whether the benefits that they may or may not provide are worth the risks. Personally, I always try natural remedies first.

Be your own advocate - sick and useless for 1,5 weeks is no joke. Best wishes for healing.

I have been on the mini pill for many years, no cycle and I love it but that’s just me. Sometimes there is 2 weeks of non stop but that may occur once a year. Took it while I was breastfeeding and never stopped! Best of luck to you to figure out what is best for your body

Well, if its making you feel sick and disrupting your natural body cycles you have to ask if the primary purpose of the drug is worth the side effects. I don't know what it is or what you are taking it for. But something that gives you those type of symptoms would have to be doing something awesomely serious to make me consider continuing on it.

Zenus and Erika- yes, I use natural remedies when I can, like for arthritis and such. Vyvanse helps my symptoms of ADHD and Binge Eating Disorder. It is effective but it's new to me. I tried for 2 years to cope without meds and binge eating disorder was keeping me hovering in the same place weight/body fat loss wise...

Cheesy- we have talked about a 3rd kid when I get into a normal BMI range. That's interesting that there's meds to stop a cycle!! Never heard of it! I did have a hormone issue(hypothyroidism, but it's normalized now) and issue with Mirena...I hadn't really had a normal cycle for nearly 11 years so I kinda wanted it to have some sense of normalcy for once. And in my teens my struggles with ana/mia cycle cause my periods to stop.

Stern and debra- that's awesome you have found what works. Sick and useless is not great. I was hoping to maintain my normal/toned down exercise routine even with my cycle and that didn't happen. I always end up taking 1-2 weeks off every month of exercise and I hate that I do that.
