Today is a mile marker… I am half way to my first goal (195) 93kg, a couple pounds off of the 200 mile marker, and 20% of the way to my final goal (170) 77kg… Having mile markers can be helpful in the “weighting” game, even if they are only percentages of completion. They are like those scenic rest spots during a long boat cruise (over over turbulent waters) - the more the merrier :) DV

Thanks Kiddo… your a good coach, as well as a welcome pal! It feels good to feel good! There are more mile markers I didn’t think of… the notches in our belts (if you wear one)… I started to waffle back and forth between the next one. That will make two :) DV

I see a shopping trip for a new, smaller belt in your near future Drewsy ;) Hold onto this current belt though for when you are having a dark moment. To see what you've accomplished, even via a belt, is rewarding in itself! And when you've reached your final goal weight you will see how far you have actually come!! Well done on your weight drop this week!!

You are absolutely right Heather! A trophy belt :) I picked the 195 mid goal because I haven’t been below that weight in 25 years. I have constantly gained weight, so slowly over the decades that I never really noticed it anywhere but the mirror. Still, I knew I couldn’t do anything about it. To even consider any of the things I have taken on right now, was not even on my radar as a possibility three months ago, and now I can’t get enough of it. Six months ago, I was packing my life up into boxes putting them into storage, where they still remain. While I was packing, I was going through all of my clothes from decades ago. Clothes with 30, 32, & 34 inch waste bands. They were such nice clothes and good memories, that I said nah… I packed them all into their own special wardrobes. Now, I am thinking, when I get resettled, there is a future in a lot of those clothes. Belts too :) DV
