....le sigh. was looking at MMA and boxing stuff on Amazon yet it feels like such a distant memory. I long to be fighting in the ring again yet im in such a deconditioned state... 10 years of my life was wrapped up inside gloves or mitts.🥊 Trainers telling me my right upper cut is dangerous, that i can get far in the fighting industry... Now, I cant even run or jump rope.. Having the knowledge but unable to use it- now that is frustrating!!!😩 One step, one day at a time. Adult ADHD assessment is soon. Been reading "Scattered Minds by Gabor Mate" i know i have unmanaged ADHD. His book makes so much sense. I can sit down and read for hours or not touch the book at all for weeks. A brilliant example of All or Nothing approach. 🤦🏼‍♀️👍

Sounds like there used to be a lot of structure and discipline in your life, and clear goals with deadlines to train for. What if TODAY you wrote down very specific goals, and then made a list of all the little things you need to do every day, every week to hit those goals? We can spend a LOT of time preparing (reading books, writing journals, etc.) but sometimes that's just procrastination and excuses. What is your rock bottom?

For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven. :) Your journey has taken a turn, and it's taking you somewhere new. Maybe when it's completed, MMA will be there waiting. Or maybe something else even more enjoyable for you. xx

Just bananas- structure? Hardly. Sounds like there was but weekends i was drunk/high. During the week, i worked, after work went boxing, came home smoked a ton of weed ate food and passed out at some time in the late night after playing guitar or xboxfor some odd hours.. It was a shock when the trainer suggested i compete, my private life was a mess, yet at the gym i gave it my all. My life was far from healthy. I coped. I survived. But i was not healthy.
