Hey been a while! Just brought a new scale one of those fancy bmi, muscle water and fat percent ones. I know they are inaccurate but I know it will let me see a trend with muscle and fat % so I can see if I’m improving.
Small increase in weight which is fine I’m having a 4 week metabolism reset. I’ve increased my calories just above my BMR. I’ve been learning how dieting damages the metabolism and am working on settling into a slightly higher amount of calories until my body starts to decrease on that amount. Fitness is going great and very keen to analyse my body fat. I am still seeing that stomach fat slowly melt away. The loose skin is slightly improved too. I am also continuing to feel more confident with my new body. I am really proud of myself that 2 years on I’m still succeeding. I have 3 weeks left and then I hope I can begin my final few kilos of loss. It’s incredible weighing pretty much the same as I did at 19 now.
54.5 kg Lost so far: 95.5 kg.    Still to go: 9.6 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.
Gaining 0.1 kg a Week

It is interesting how less calories doesn't necessarily equal correct weight loss. Still getting my head around that part too. And understanding the 'break' so the body can reset itself again. Usually that's when you hit a plataue. Would love to also witness your journey through the muscle verses body fat composition. Love seeing the comparison pics of people who wiegh more on the scales but their body is mint AF. Also interested in your maintenance schedule etc. Keep up the great work. So blessed to be part of this amazing journey with you.

Hey Di I agree I keep my goal of eating as much as I can while still losing a little now. That’s meant I’ve had to up the calories and then give it a week to see if I maintain or lose or gain and then adjust. There is some really bad information out there and eating too little might mean you lose faster at first but then you ruin the metabolism. I have learned a lot on this journey and that’s been my main take away. I can lose weight eating a much higher amount and I can ignore all of the diet fads. Right now my maintenance is around 2100 - 2300 calories because I’m very active. So really about 2000 calories a day works for me and that allows for those odd days when you have a treat or a bit extra to round out for the week. Thank you so much for the interest and sharing the journey I will try to get some time to add a new photo comparison this week. I just got body fat measurements and it’s 17.4% so I’m kind of shocked the fitness and work has really paid off but I’ll check it again all week and make sure the reading is consistent I have pms right now so who knows lol. Hope your having a great week ✌🏼
