I forgot to weigh before I had some milk & a couple of sips of my coffee. It rained during the night & I was anxious to check out the gardens for deer damage. Thankfully, everything was intact.

My granddaughter video called me this morning & I got to spend an hour chatting with her & my great granddaughter. She is 6 months old & cute as a button. She's trying to sit up & looks like she's trying to do crunches...so adorable!

Soon after my daughter (her Mom) called on her way over to her apartment so they could enjoy some pool time together. I miss seeing them in person so phone time has to substitute for now.

I spent several hours in the gardens today planting the flowers I bought yesterday. We did have a short thundershower, but I was able to get the last few plants in afterwards.

It was late in the day so I had a snack of popcorn & an Arnold Palmer to drink while I read out on the back deck. I kept getting distracted...I thought I heard birds chirping in the birdhouse, so I had to go stand close to listen. Sure enough, the sound was coming from the birdhouse. I saw the nuthatches in the tree close by so I was watching them. They seemed to realize I was there cause I never was able to see them fly to the birdhouse.

Got in an afternoon walk then came home, fed the dogs & started dinner. While dinner was in the oven, I sprayed deer repellant on all the plants....newly planted & old. Good thing, cause Hubby saw the "Herd" bedding down in the woods when he took the dogs out. They often sleep a few feet into the woods to the side of our house.

Finished the day way under 1600 calories but I did eat dessert, sugar free jello & a cookie, later than usual. I decided to have a shower while Hubby watched the end of the Hockey game & had dessert after.

Gonna brush my teeth & finish my book before sleep. I have another to start...the selection for Book Club Hubby picked up at the library for me today.
