Well, I didn't keep my calories as low as I intended yesterday. What happened? It was a gorgeous spring day. I'm standing in the kitchen with Mr Coco and we both hear that familiar summer song, Scott Joplin's "The Entertainer" wafting down the street. So I had to grab a couple of bucks and sprint to catch the popsicle man. Lost a flip-flop along the way, but I made it. A Dreamsicle is only 100 calories. Mostly in the sugar I guess. So I don't feel that guilty.
Tonight I'm going to my friend's for our usual BBQ nite. I do NOT want to cave in to a pork plate. That's a literal recipe for disaster for me. So I need to rehearse ordering a chicken plate with veggies.
I had a great walk yesterday. Went up the mountain road. I'm adding some jogging and short bursts of sprinting. And it gets easier every time. I can't believe how maybe 5 yrs ago I couldn't have walked up half-a-block of that road without wheezing and stopping for a break.
