I was looking at my calorie intake for the past couple of months, yesterday. Last week was the first week in awhile I averaged under 1800 calories...and that was due to Monday's super low intake due to colonoscopy prep. 3 out of the past 9 weeks I averaged 2000 calories or more. The good news is I'm fluctuating in the low to mid 140's most days. I hesitate to raise my allowance above 1800 calories cause then I'd probably average higher.

Now that the weather is cooling I've not been as active. I don't spend as much time outside in the gardens. My main exercise has been walking. I can tell I've been "lazy". I got up in the attic & brought down a couple of boxes & my Fall door wreath and put the Summer wreath back up there. Yesterday I spent a few hours on my feet arranging Fall decor in the kitchen, dining room & living room. I could feel it in my hips & legs last night. Crazy how quickly your body loses it's flexibility when you don't use those muscles.

I've been puttering around working on the living room mantle today. I'm really just doing this for me. We don't anticipate company....Thanksgiving has been at a member of my neice 's extended family for the past several years. Hubby doesn't appreciate it...in fact he said "Halloween is over" yesterday. I had to tell him I was decorating for Fall and we still had a month of that before the Christmas season. I haven't felt motivated but my creative juices kicked in yesterday when I got started. I think I usually get motivated after going to Fall festivals. Last year we took a trip to Wisconsin in September & Fall was in full swing. Since Covid my sisters & I haven't been doing the festivals. It was still hot & Summer weather in Texas....so that didn't do anything.

Hubby pressure washed the deck yesterday. He wants to get that job done so he can winterize & store the pressure washer before we get a freeze. I realized I haven't stored my tomato planters...they're still sitting on the edge of the driveway.

I'm going to have lunch with my sister Thurs. Friday we are going to a George Strait concert.

Coffee is gone....time to move my butt....

Sounds like a fun week is planned. I love decorating. I wallpapered and painted the downstairs half bath because I have been putting it off for... 13 years. LOL. Got a new toilet and was inspired to get it done. David painted the office that adjoins it. It looks so nice in there now... but haven't had company aside from the kids' friends in ages.

DP, I usually love decorating, too. I've been in a blah mood....trying to feel more cheerful & motivated. We have family coming in 6 weeks (with our new great-grandaughter in tow) so I'm hoping that gives me inspiration. We have lots to do to get ready.
